Kettlebell Training Wandering Web

Claiming that any one, single thing is the answer to all your problems is normally a sure sign I am not going to agree with an article. However, this post on Hardcore Kettlebell Certification (HKC) is still very interesting. Perhaps my favorite part of the article, “I have spent my life trying to understand weightlifting. It seems to me there are three important keys: Fundamental Human Movements, Reps and Sets, Load,” aligns exactly with how I try to look at our training at Summit Strength:

Continuing our kettlebell training theme, Dan John does a great job of keeping things simple and effective. He is one of my favorite trainers to read, because he gets straight to the point and his ideas are easy to understand and simple to implement. I really like the idea of the goblet squat test in this article, as well:

You can do as many kettlebell training programs as you like, or anything else, but if you continue to eat junk food it will never matter. Eating healthy doesn’t have to be complicated; rather, it is very simple: eat real food! Did it grow out of the ground or have to be killed to be consumed? If yes, go for it. Follow this straightforward plan:

One of my favorite things about kettlebell training is that it improves mobility naturally, without having to do “mobility” training which can be exceptionally boring. However, that is not to say that it always has to be. I find animal movement flows to be pretty challenging and also relatively fun to do. This video is pretty good:
