Foundation Building Wandering Web

There are foundational fitness movements that all people should be able to master before advancing onto more technically challenging moves, and this video shows five of them here. I will say, however, that a single arm carry is certainly more challenging than a farmer’s carry. Also, these are not moves that just GUYS should master. I get it is Men’s Health, but that still bugs me. These moves are for the ladies, too:

Speaking of fitness foundation, this article and video, also by Men’s Health, breaks down some of the common errors when overhead pressing. Additionally, it details how to know if you lack the capability to press overhead, and what to do about it. There are many more options than the landmine single arm overhead press that they show, but it certainly is a great exercise to utilize, as well:

Nutrition is such a confusing place, and as with fitness training most people make it harder than it needs to be. Both fitness and nutrition need to grow from a strong foundation, and from what I have experienced, macronutrient counting is a great place to start. This three part series by Eo3 Fitness gets into what macros are, and how to start counting them:

Speaking of making nutrition principles too complicated, here is an article detailing why the bad rap meat gets is absurd. I agree wholeheartedly. Veganism is certainly trendy, but it is not necessarily healthier. Just because a chip may be vegan does not make it healthy. Same as a gluten free cookie. Crap is always crap. The best part of the vegan trend is that it has encouraged people to eat more plant based products, which is great. Finding a balance between plants and meat is an important part of maintaining a healthy, balanced diet:
